A: Yes, we would definitely like to offer the Godly Running Girls® program to other churches, schools, communities and wherever it makes sense, in the Charlotte area and beyond.

Q: What does it take to get a new Godly Running Girls® program started?

A: In order to start a new Godly Running Girls® program at your school and/or church I would need to meet with the church/school administration in order to get their approval. Next, we would need to confirm that the church/school has a classroom for the Godly Running Girls® group to meet in and a safe area outside for the girls to participate in running activities. This outdoor area can be a section of the parking lot or field that is sectioned off by cones.

Q: What is the age range of the girls the Godly Running Girls® program is offered to?

A: The Godly Running Girls® program is offered to girls in the third through twelfth grades. However, Godly Running Girls® consists of three grade-specific groups, Godly Running Girls® (for 3rd through 5th grade girls), and Girls Running for His Glory (for 6th through 8th grade girls and for 9th through 12th grade girls).  The logistics of meeting times, locations and duration are the same.  Some of the content would be specifically geared toward age-appropriate topics for each, respective, group.

Q: What if my daughter has never run in a race before?

A: Perfect, most of the girls who start the program have never run in a race. The Godly Running Girls® program is designed, through running games and other techniques, to train girls just for that.

Q: What if my daughter is not very athletic?

A: The Godly Running Girls® program is made up of devotions, running games and running. It is our goal to make both the spiritual and physical portion of Godly Running Girls® a fun, exciting experience for the girls. Whether your daughter has never participated in any type of sport or if your daughter has been involved in many sports, they will both be challenged and have a lot of fun during each Godly Running Girls® session.

Q: Neither my husband nor I are runners, who will run with my daughter in the 5k at the end of the season?

A: We require at least one parent/adult per two girls for the race. If a girl does not have a parent to run with we will pair her up with another adult for the race.
